Challenge

Businesses procured alone at weaker unit prices, with no structured way to aggregate demand or invite suppliers into a transparent, competitive quotation process. Procurement stayed slow, opaque, and hard to coordinate across buyers and vendors.

The transformation

What the client was dealing with, and what we replaced it with.

Before
  • Businesses bought alone and could not unlock volume pricing
  • No shared channel to pool purchasing demand across buyers
  • Supplier quotations were informal, hard to compare, and lacked a clear award path
  • Procurement status—events, commitments, and progress—was scattered across chats and spreadsheets
  • Buyer and supplier coordination needed structure without adding heavy enterprise tooling
After
  • Live Buying Events let buyers browse products, filter by status, and commit binding quantities
  • Pooled demand progress shows how close a group is to target quantity
  • RFQ board surfaces supplier bids with ranking, best-deal badges, and winner award
  • Group invites connect buyers and suppliers into procurement communities
  • Procurement overview dashboard tracks available events, active commitments, and totals
  • Built on React Native with PostgreSQL, Firebase, and AWS for scalable delivery
